Throughout her career, Cindy has worked alongside some of the most respected names in aesthetic medicine—from partnering with a renowned cosmetic chemist to educating medical professionals on skincare science, lasers, and injectables, to collaborating with top plastic surgeons and dermatologists nationwide. Her comprehensive understanding of skin health, advanced technologies, and patient-centered care ensures that every detail of your experience at Viva Med is guided by excellence.

Cindy’s approach is as warm and welcoming as it is knowledgeable. Outside of her clinical and operational work, Cindy is deeply involved in community service. Elizabeth Cox, MSN, FNP-C

Aesthetics Nurse Practitioner at Viva Med

Elizabeth Cox is a board-certified Nurse Practitioner with more than 17 years of experience in healthcare and four years in advanced practice. At Viva Med, she brings together medical expertise and a genuine passion for helping others as an Aesthetics Nurse Practitioner. Her approach is rooted in precision, compassion, and a belief that every patient deserves care tailored to their individual goals and needs.

Elizabeth earned her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of North Carolina Wilmington and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from East Carolina University. Her early career was spent in high-acuity clinical settings—from pediatric intensive care and emergency departments to women’s health—which helped shape her strong clinical instincts and unwavering dedication to excellence.

Over the past three years, Elizabeth has focused her practice on aesthetic medicine, with a particular interest in advanced laser technology. During her tenure at Milan, she was honored with the Medical Excellence Award in both 2023 and 2024 — an acknowledgment of her commitment to patient safety, education, and outstanding outcomes.

A long-time resident of eastern North Carolina, Elizabeth is deeply connected to the community she serves. She is passionate about helping people feel confident and empowered, and she takes pride in making every patient’s experience not only effective, but also personal and meaningful.

Outside of her work, Elizabeth cherishes time with her son, Bradyn. She enjoys attending sporting events and staying active in her church community — always seeking balance, connection, and purpose both professionally and personally.

Bambi Parnell, RN & Certified Nurse Injector

Bambi Parnell has been practicing as a certified Registered Nurse injector in North Carolina for over 20 years.  Having worked as a master injectionist at a Dermatology office in Goldsboro and a Plastic Surgery office in New Bern, Bambi is now bringing her expertise to Greenville at Viva Med Aesthetics & Wellness.  Bambi thrives on continuing education and honing her craft to keep up with the growing aesthetic trends and technology.  She prides herself on personalized treatments, and thoughtful listening skills to provide her patients with the results they desire – all while maintaining a natural appearance. Bambi’s patients describe her as compassionate and considerate, with great listening skills and an artistic eye for aesthetics. 

Maria Ruiz, Laser Technician

Maria has worked in customer service and patient care for over a decade and has continued to grow in the aesthetic industry from clinical assistant to laser technician.  Maria is certified in RF Microneedling, Intense Pulsed Light (IPL), and Laser Hair Removal. Maria is bilingual and works very closely with our Spanish speaking patients. She has a passion for aesthetics and wellness and is known for forming a bond with her patients. She is professional and takes expert care of all of her patients. 

Marianna Russ, Administrative Coordinator

Meet Marianna Russ, an Eastern North Carolina native; born and raised in Hyde County, NC. She now calls Greenville home after graduating from East Carolina University in 2015 with a bachelor’s degree in Public Health.  

As the Administrative Coordinator of Viva Med Aesthetics & Wellness she has a passion for medical aesthetics and wellness and the positive impacts it makes in one’s life. With over 7 years’ experience in the aesthetic industry, she has developed a strong set of skills and a proven track record of success. Marianna is a proud member of the Greenville-Pitt County Chamber of Commerce and enjoys promoting and supporting the local businesses in the community that she lives and works. Born and raised in Greenville, Addie Kate is passionate about Eastern North Carolina and supporting growth in our community. With over 8 years of marketing and administrative experience, Addie Kate brings a creative, personal and dynamic approach to Viva Med’s Concierge team and is dedicated to ensuring every Viva Med patient experience is friendly, relaxed, convenient and responsive to everyone’s needs. She can help guide you through the concierge model which is also known as concierge care, boutique medicine, retainer-based medicine, platinum practice and direct primary care.
